O2PURE Air Duct Cleaning uses only source removal techniques for cleaning your heating and air-conditioning, systems. Source removal is the term used for the process of removing contaminants from your site. The following procedures are used to clean your system:

  1. Before we begin cleaning, plastic film is placed on supply and return openings. Film is removed prior to the start up of the system.
  2. Supply and return networks are zoned to be cleaned individually.
  3. A high-efficiency, three stage HEPA collector with final stage filtration at .03 microns (1/300th the diameter of a human hair) will be placed at points throughout the HVAC system to evacuate debris under negative pressure.
  4. The areas cleaned will be air washed, swept with forward or reversed air at 175 pounds of pressure per square inch, and power brushed to remove all visible dust and debris.
  5. All registers, grilles, and diffusers will be air washed with high powered, compressed air with our HEPA-AIRE method.
  6. Any service openings made to allow access for cleaning will be sealed with reusable, airtight, sheet metal access panels with gaskets screwed to ducts. All 2 1/2" openings or smaller will be sealed with airtight knockout plugs.
  7. The furnace fan will be air washed completely.
  8. The air-handling side of the furnace will be vacuumed and air washed.

Air Purification

O2PURE Air Duct Cleaning is proud to present germicidal ultraviolet lights for purifying your air. We use ultraviolet lights that destroy microbial contamination and are now available for residential use. For more than 40 years, ultraviolet germicidal irradiation has been effective in the health care and food industries for killing bacteria and viruses. Germicidal ultraviolet lights are installed inside your heating and ventilating duct.

Germicidal Ultraviolet Lights are safe and effective in helping eliminate airborne allergens, bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, yeast, disease, spores and more. They reduce odors by treating the air/furnace with UV Sterilization all day. There is no Ozone produced with the UV light we use.

  • Two Applications for Residential Use are Available
  • Use a single lamp in the return 90% efficient
  • Use a dual lamp above the coil 99% efficient.
  • Bulb has a life of 12000 hours
  • Replacement bulbs available

Independent lab test shows that in a single pass air flow test one of the UV Lamps we use will reduce levels of bacteria and mold by over 90%, while a two lamp system can reduce it by 99%.

The units used create pure air naturally, by using the natural elements of invisible Ultra Violet (UV) light that is emitted by the sun at the violet end of its spectrum. Through innovative, safe and environmentally friendly technologies, this UV system cleanses residential air without ozone. Many tests have proven that UVC lighting installed in the air supply of the heating or cooling unit gradually eliminates a high percentage of harmful bacteria from residential air treated homes. The UV lights chosen were designed to meet the growing consumer demand for clean air in the home. Each separate unit is designed to provide optimum UV treatment of up to 3000sf, providing clean air at considerably less cost than other UV treatment products or filtration systems currently available on the market.

The US Government requires UV lamps above cooling coils for government buildings and uses UV lamps to control microbial growth in buildings. Now the average homeowner can apply the same safety measures in their homes. Attacking the problem at the source makes healthy sense.
